Features: When our press compiles examination-oriented books, we adhere to the principle of "serving society and caring for candidates." We timely release the "Still Life Monochrome Training" series. This series is authored by experienced teachers who work as examiners in universities and have research on examination-oriented education for college entrance exams. In terms of subjects, we select items that are easy to depict and frequently appear in exams, such as ceramic pots, fruits, vases, vegetables, and beverages. The main focus is on training how to present objects with different shapes, colors, and textures through the unique color effects of watercolor. For students with some painting experience, we have added exercises on glassware and stainless steel products. The purpose is to help learners enhance their understanding of special textures like transparency and metal, in preparation for the increasing difficulty of exam conditions.
Color has emotions, and people's perception of color varies depending on their cultivation, preferences, and moods. Therefore, the ability to master color is not limited to copying. Only through continuous accumulation in study and life—by observing, practicing, and reflecting—can one create emotionally resonant artworks. We hope that through the copying exercises in this book, it can open the door for students who are in the threshold of the art world.
