Is mental illness the same as epilepsy?

Patient's question:

When I was back in my hometown, if someone was mentally unstable, they would say it was called having a "flock of sheep epilepsy." So, how can one alleviate "flock of sheep epilepsy"?

Doctor's answer:

The primary goal of treating epilepsy is to control the condition through conservative medication. Avoid making the patient angry, and do not consume extremely cold, spicy, or irritating foods. Eat more fruits and vegetables, rest, and avoid staying up late frequently. Pay close attention to the patient's condition, observing details carefully, and do not allow the condition to worsen. In daily life, do not often let the patient use their phone or play games. Additionally, the patient should develop a regular sleep schedule and healthy lifestyle habits.
