The first volume consists of two parts, covering the period from the Zhou Dynasty to the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, selecting five hundred fifty poems, edited by Lin Geng. The second volume also consists of two parts, covering the period from the Song and Yuan Dynasties to the May Fourth Movement, selecting four hundred fifty poems, edited by Feng Yuanjun.
