Is low protein anemia?

Patient's question:

This winter, the company is offering health checks at half price for all employees. In our department, there are only two female colleagues. After a thorough examination, there were no other major issues, but it was mentioned that my hemoglobin level is low. I don't know the specific reason for this, but the doctor also said it's not anemia. I'd like to understand how it's possible to have low hemoglobin but not be anemic?

Doctor's answer:

The normal range of hemoglobin for women is generally above 110. If the measured value of your hemoglobin is below 110, we consider that you may have anemia. If your direct measurement is above 1100, then we consider that your anemia does not exist. So, if it is not anemia when above 110, is there any need to solve anything? However, if it is below 110, it is necessary to investigate the cause of anemia, the most common being iron deficiency anemia.
