Features: The teaching and research personnel of Sichuan Normal University have been engaged in the study of Bashu culture since an early stage, and have achieved remarkable results. Looking back at the past two decades, there are two significant markers: First, as early as 1980, when the Journal of Liberal Arts of Sichuan Normal University was newly established, it launched a column titled "Bashu Studies," publishing articles on Bashu culture research both within and outside the province. The main contributors to this column were teachers from Sichuan Normal University. Over the past 20 years, the column has published hundreds of high-quality articles and has consistently attracted the attention and support of scholars and experts at home and abroad who are dedicated to Bashu culture research. Second, in 1999, the Bashu Culture Research Center of Sichuan Normal University was established, one of the few key research bases in humanities and social sciences at provincial universities approved by the Ministry of Education. Since its establishment, the center has actively organized and promoted the study of Bashu culture. As a result, in recent years, academic achievements in this field by departments such as the School of Liberal Arts and the Department of History at Sichuan Normal University have become even more prominent. In terms of academic papers alone, not only has the quality of articles published in the Journal of Liberal Arts of Sichuan Normal University improved, but it has also attracted submissions from influential scholars outside the university. Additionally, some articles are the interim results of research projects signed by authors with the Bashu Culture Research Center. The purpose of compiling this volume, "Studies on Bashu Literature and Culture," is to provide a brief summary of the aforementioned research and to report on the situation of Sichuan Normal University's Bashu culture studies from one perspective to scholars and experts at home and abroad. Due to time constraints, this selection primarily includes research papers on Bashu linguistics, literature, paleography, and history. In terms of format, it remains consistent with the original style. Moreover, due to the compilers' limited expertise, there are still some shortcomings in this selection. We sincerely welcome criticism and guidance from academic peers.
