How to relieve tapeworm infection?

Patient's question:

I am 34 years old. Recently, I don't know why I always feel nauseous and like vomiting. My stomach aches sometimes with symptoms of burning and acid reflux. I went to the hospital, and it got better for a while, but then it started again. How can I relieve myself if I have tapeworm disease?

Doctor's answer:

Intestinal taeniasis is a disease caused by the ingestion of blood-sucking tapeworms in the intestine. In China, the most common types are beef taeniasis and pork taeniasis. Praziquantel is the preferred medication for treating intestinal taeniasis. For adults, the dosage is 10–15 mg/kg (for children, 10 mg/kg), taken as a single dose on an empty stomach in the morning, followed by magnesium sulfate laxative one hour later. Albendazole at a dose of 1200 mg/day for adults, taken orally for two days, is also an option.
