Thyroid nodule with lymph node enlargement

Patient's question:

Because of a certain illness, I have been unable to stop taking medication for a long time. Due to the medication, my endocrine system has been affected, and now I want to stop taking the medication to regulate my body. Please advise on thyroid nodules accompanied by lymph node enlargement.

Doctor's answer:

Thyroid nodules require an ultrasound to determine their size before a solution can be arranged. Enlarged lymph nodes may be related to infections. For enlarged lymph nodes, various anti-inflammatory drugs can be considered for thyroid nodules. Additionally, thyroid function should be rechecked. If the thyroid function is normal and the nodule is very small, it can be followed up periodically. If the nodule is larger, surgery to remove it may be necessary.
