Kawasaki disease prognosis precautions

Patient's question:

Recently, I don't know why I always feel uncomfortable in my heart. Although I often take medicine to control it, the effect is not obvious. When I went to the hospital for a check-up, they also prescribed medicine. Please ask what precautions should be noted for the prognosis of Kawasaki disease.

Doctor's answer:

Kawasaki disease is primarily an inflammatory condition characterized by systemic vasculitis. Therefore, after the child's condition has healed and they are discharged from the hospital to go home, they should not participate in strenuous exercise within the first year. Rest should be paid attention to to prevent damage to the heart muscle from excessive activity. Additionally, drink more water and eat more vegetables and fruits. The hospital should be visited for follow-up examinations every 3 to 6 months. Platelet and erythrocyte sedimentation rate values should be checked periodically to determine the extent of disease recovery.
