Features: As a foundational course in economics and management, the field of financial studies (monetary banking) has been identified in our long-term teaching practice that most existing undergraduate textbooks primarily focus on theory, which often overlaps with economics courses. Meanwhile, the practical application of financial knowledge required by economic entities is relatively scarce. After completing the course, students often express confusion: What do checks and drafts look like? How are bank loans specifically processed? How are insurance and pawnbroking businesses conducted? How can economic entities apply financial knowledge in decision-making and management? The result is one we do not wish to see. Of course, this cannot be entirely attributed to textbooks, as teachers also fail to supplement relevant knowledge in teaching, which is another major reason. The writing of this book was carried out under such a background. To this end, the book aims to grasp its nature as an applied economics through the following aspects: For basic financial theories, it ensures systematicity and completeness while actively addressing the relationship with economics and other courses; for practical financial matters, it focuses on the perspective of economic entities, elaborating on micro-financial knowledge closely related to their specific businesses and decisions, as well as macro-financial theories; for the content of financial studies, it emphasizes timeliness while maintaining foresight; for research and analytical methods, it strives to combine qualitative and quantitative approaches organically; for expression, it emphasizes simplicity while retaining scientific rigor; and for the textbook format, it not only includes numerous reference links and online resources but also provides concise annotations for basic financial concepts on the relevant pages, as well as discussion topics on socio-economic real-world issues closely related to finance in each chapter. The book covers the following topics: Overview of Financial Studies, Money, Credit, Interest Rates, Financial Institutions, Financial Operations, Financial Markets, Inflation and Deflation, and Financial Regulation.
