When to stop taking medication for after one year?

Patient's question:

I am 38 years old. Recently, I feel that my liver is very tired. I haven't had much appetite, and at night, I always feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I went to the nearby hospital for a check-up and was told it was liver disease. They asked me to get injections. I would like to ask when can I stop taking medication if I have had chronic hepatitis B for a year?

Doctor's answer:

You are a patient with chronic hepatitis B, and you have been taking medication for a year. You should have periodic check-ups at the hospital to monitor your hepatitis B virus DNA levels and see how high the viral load is. Generally, if the viral load is above 1000, you may be able to stop taking the medication. However, after stopping the medication, you need to be closely and carefully monitored with periodic check-ups. If your body's resistance is low or if you are exposed to external stimuli, there is a high possibility of a relapse.
