Exams are important tools for assessing and evaluating teaching quality. Through exams, one can understand students' comprehension, analytical abilities, and mastery of the learned knowledge, as well as evaluate the level and quality of teaching. Ultimately, this contributes to the overall development of nursing education and the nursing profession. To promote the learning, understanding, and mastery of basic concepts and knowledge in Surgical Nursing, 4th Edition among undergraduate nursing students, as well as to establish analytical and critical thinking skills and improve the ability to comprehensively apply the learned knowledge, this supplementary textbook has been compiled. This supplementary textbook corresponds to the main textbook, with each chapter divided into three parts. The first part outlines the teaching objectives for each chapter, summarizing and highlighting the main content, key points, and difficult knowledge of the textbook. The second part consists of exercises, including three types of questions: multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions, and case analysis questions. For the same knowledge point, different question formats are used to encourage students to consider problems from multiple perspectives. Multiple-choice questions are divided into a1, a2, a3, and a4 types. a1-type questions are single-choice questions, consisting of a brief textual description (stem) and five answer options, with only one being the best answer and the other four being distractors. The questions can be in affirmative or negative statement forms. a2-type questions differ from a1-type questions in that they are case-based. a3-type questions are a-type questions for case groups, where a clinical case is used as the stem, and multiple related questions are presented around it, with the same answer format as a1-type questions. a4-type questions are similar to a3-type questions but gradually increase information and sequentially present related questions as the condition progresses. The third part provides reference answers and analysis, solutions, and explanations for some exercises, aiming to clarify or easily confused issues.
