Patient's question:
I am 38 years old. Recently, I feel that my liver is very tired. I haven't had a good appetite. At night, I always feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I went to the nearby hospital for a check-up and was told it was liver disease. They asked me to get an injection. How is liver cirrhosis treated?Doctor's answer:
Viral hepatitis can easily lead to cirrhosis. In terms of treatment, on one hand, antiviral therapy should be implemented for viral hepatitis, while on the other hand, medications such as those for softening the liver and resolving masses, as well as symptomatic treatment, should be used for cirrhosis. Surgery may also be necessary when needed. On a daily basis, a diet based on light, liquid foods rich in protein, such as milk, fish soup, eggs, and lean meat, should be maintained. Spicy, fried, and grilled foods should be avoided, and smoking and alcohol should be avoided as well.
