Features: This book includes a selection of articles I wrote over fifteen years of exploring Chinese and world cultures. My exploration, though extensive in distance, primarily focused on searching for the "meridian systems" and "acupoints" of major civilizations. As a result, the difficulties I encountered were twofold: the hardships of travel and the hardships of thought. In fact, there was also a more subtle difficulty—the challenge of expression. I couldn't convey to readers the unique spiritual paradoxes of a traveler, nor could I exaggerate the difficulties already overcome on the journey, nor could I pass on the obstacles still unresolved in my thoughts. This of expressive difficulties nearly spanned all fifteen years of my life. Therefore, the articles readers see, no matter how seemingly effortless and carefree on the surface, are accompanied by the all-around torment of life in every word and sentence. I have always cherished my words deeply, something readers can understand. My writings on exploring Chinese culture have been selected and reprinted more frequently, while this time's selection leans more toward my exploration of world cultures. —Yu Qiuyu
