Features: This book was compiled in response to the reform of medical education and the transformation of the medical model, adhering to the principle of blurring disciplinary boundaries and restructuring course content. It organically integrates the fundamental content of physiology, biochemistry, and pathophysiology from previous studies, enabling students in medical-related fields to grasp the basic knowledge of human physiological functions and metabolism through this book, as well as understand the mechanisms of occurrence and development of common diseases. This book meets the teaching syllabi and characteristics of higher medical colleges and related medical disciplines, as well as the requirements of the National Clinical Practitioner Licensing Examination syllabus. During the writing process, efforts were made to keep the content concise and accessible for self-study. It largely avoids repetition of course material while addressing the conflict between extensive content and limited class hours. While strengthening fundamental knowledge, theories, and skills, it also emphasizes the connection between theory and practice, as well as clinical application. Additionally, to complement the teaching arrangements of this textbook, we have also compiled a《》 (Experimental Course in Human Physiological Functions) for use. This book is intended for undergraduate programs in integrated Chinese and Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, nursing, health administration, as well as for specialized programs in family medicine and community medicine. Human Physiological Functions is a foundational medical course established to adapt to the reform of medical education in the new era.
