Malignant judgment of thyroid nodules

Patient's question:

Because of a certain illness, I have been unable to stop taking medication for a long time. Due to the medication, my endocrine system has encountered issues. Now, I want to stop taking the medication and focus on regulation. Please advise on whether the thyroid nodule is malignant.

Doctor's answer:

To determine whether a thyroid nodule is benign or malignant, it is mainly through the implementation of a fine-needle aspiration examination of the thyroid nodule that it can be completely confirmed. Simply performing a color Doppler ultrasound examination cannot immediately confirm the diagnosis. If the fine-needle aspiration examination confirms it to be malignant, surgery must be performed as soon as possible. Whether it is a thyroid nodule also needs to be confirmed through the implementation of a color Doppler ultrasound examination, and it cannot be determined based solely on the patient's symptoms of breathing difficulties.
