Publish Date: 2007-01-01
Features: A few years ago, scholars and experts from key medical schools and renowned hospitals in the capital compiled a ten-volume work titled "The Health Bible." After its completion, the book was specially reviewed by Dr. Li Liming, a U.S.-trained medical doctor and then Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. He considered it an "outstanding medical popular science masterpiece" and described it as "a health bridge connecting public health workers and residents." Since its release, the book has been widely loved and welcomed by readers. In recent years, China has initiated reforms in the medical insurance system, and the public has shown a strong desire to learn more about specific knowledge in disease prevention and treatment to achieve the goals of disease prevention and control, as well as rational medical expense planning. Based on reader feedback, the original authors decided to compile a more practical self-diagnostic toolbook, dividing the general process of human disease prevention and treatment into five stages: symptom onset, initial self-diagnosis, seeking medical attention, diagnosis, and treatment. The content of the original book was then reorganized, supplemented, and revised according to the needs of patients in these five stages. The upgraded new book is titled "600 Cases of Self-Diagnosis of Human Diseases in Color."
