Patient's question:
How many normal values are there for neonatal jaundice?Doctor's answer:
For newborns, if the jaundice level is around 0.8, it falls within a normal range. Generally, as long as the jaundice level is controlled at 0.28, they can be discharged without further treatment. Newborns all have jaundice right after birth, usually appearing 2 to 3 days after delivery. It typically fades naturally within half a month. If it doesn't fade, it should be considered pathological jaundice.
