Is it social anxiety disorder?

Patient's question:

A friend of mine is always not mentally normal, sometimes clear-headed and sometimes crazy. Is it social anxiety disorder?

Doctor's answer:

A diagnosis of social anxiety must meet the following criteria. First, whenever encountering social issues, there will be a recurring significant feeling of nervousness and anxiety. Second, this emotional response is clearly inconsistent with the environment one is facing at the time. Third, due to this situation, one may intentionally conceal social interactions, even for necessary ones, such as dates or auditions. Fourth, there must be no other mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia or depression.
