Features: Building a solid oral foundation and improving verbal communication skills are the desires of every foreign language learner. Enhancing verbal communication skills should be approached from two aspects: conversation (two or more people talking) and monologue (introducing a topic or expressing one's opinions/views). Compared to the former, the latter requires a higher level of language proficiency. In conversation, speakers and listeners can adjust their language to achieve a mutual understanding, making the conversation flow smoothly. However, the latter requires speakers to have strong language thinking abilities, otherwise, the listener cannot grasp their viewpoints and ideas. Both conversation skills and monologue skills can be improved through training. For this reason, the lessons in this book are designed as follows:
1. Point Content (Self-introduction, time, money, location, possibility, giving and receiving, passive voice, causative voice, hypothetical voice, hearsay, expressions of change)
2. Ability to Express Intention I (reasons, prohibition or permission, wishes, will, persuasion, requests, suggestions and proposals, tactful assertions, making phone calls)
3. Ability to Express Intention II (inquiries, gratitude, praise and humility, complaints and apologies, proactive proposals, satisfaction, regret, agreement and disagreement, relaying messages)
4. Colorful Practice (holidays, movies, travel, hospitals, health, global environment, phone calls, pets, love and marriage)
