Is it normal to have ventricular premature beats dozens of times every day?

Patient's question:

I have always had poor health since I was a child. Whenever I feel tired, I feel like I can't catch my breath, often feel extremely exhausted, have pale facial skin, and cold limbs. I used to have a thorough medical examination, and the doctor said my heart isn't good. I can feel dozens of premature ventricular contractions every day. Is that normal?

Doctor's answer:

A normal person can occasionally experience a small number of premature beats again, but they may not feel it themselves. If you have very noticeable premature beats, it is recommended to undergo a Holter monitor test to determine the exact number of premature beats over 24 hours. If there are many, further examination is advised to identify the cause of the premature beats, in case it is due to myocarditis or other heart diseases, which could cause chronic harm to the body.
