Features: Change due to love, difference due to emotion—can this really happen? Is it a beautiful temptation or a vow of eternal love? On a construction site, a worker's accidental driving of a pile leads to one of Shanghai's most significant archaeological discoveries—the Zhide Garden. Surrounding the Zhide Garden site, a series of mysterious events keep occurring: a tropical fish that lives in the sand often burrows back and forth in it; a group of indestructible cockroaches that can still move freely even when their bodies are split in two; a black cat with seemingly nine lives that survives being flattened by a truck and falls from a building without dying. The strange phenomena occurring in animals are showing signs of the subtle mutation of sea people. After, a secret about sea people seems to be revealed. Based on a real archaeological news story, this work sparks a suspenseful and supernatural love story, which then evolves into a tale of extraordinary love. Amidst twists and turns, it creates one after another artistic space that is both enigmatic and imaginative, making readers, though intellectually disbelief the story, emotionally connect with it. From an artistic perspective, the author reflects humanity's longing for beautiful love and their gentle hopes and wishes for the future.
