Appraisal: Jade Objects Volume

Publish Date: 2007-01-01
Features: This volume includes artifacts sourced from auctions and private collections, with their most notable characteristic being their limited exposure to the public. Organized chronologically, it provides detailed introductions to each jade piece. The artifacts in this book are all equipped with essential elements such as name, era, origin, specifications, rarity level, expert valuation, potential appreciation, and collector information.
The book first introduces the specific forms, craftsmanship, specifications, functions, and materials of each artifact, followed by a comprehensive analysis of its artistic level, scientific, and cultural value, ultimately drawing conclusions. These assessments are based on the intrinsic value of the artifacts themselves and the current market conditions for cultural relics and artworks in recent years.
There are three distinctive features of this book:
1. It is the first to evaluate the rarity level of cultural relics using a ten-level system. This grading system is more refined, addressing the simplicity and limitations of the national three-level system.
2. It provides a rational assessment of the comprehensive value of cultural relics.
3. It objectively predicts the future appreciation potential of the artifacts, offering collectors a scientific reference to avoid being misled by the market.
The purpose of using this new grading method is to guide consumers toward rational consumption and to disseminate correct and scientific knowledge about cultural relic collection to the public, preventing them from being misled by the market or erroneous theories.
