Features: The editor of this book has conducted extensive research and sorting on a large number of cases of Chinese enterprises going global. Based on this, they conducted field interviews and investigations on a portion of the cases, compiling 26 corporate cross-border investment cases. Additionally, the book analyzes the development status of China's multinational companies in the past three years, providing reference materials for relevant researchers. The rapid growth of Chinese multinational companies is reflected in the increase in the number of cross-border investments. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce and the National Bureau of Statistics, the amounts of cross-border investments by Chinese enterprises from 2003 to 2005 were $1.7 billion, $2.9 billion, and $8.8 billion, respectively. Clearly, the number of cross-border investments by Chinese enterprises has seen a sharp increase in the past three years. The book compiles 26 corporate cases, many of which have achieved overseas investments through cross-border mergers and acquisitions. For example, Lenovo Group achieved cross-border investment by acquiring IBM's personal computer division. Shang Gong Shen Bei became a multinational company through the acquisition of Germany's DA company, forming a Eurasian linkage. The author visited the case of Shang Gong Shen Bei in Germany in May of this year and also studied the case of Beijing Machine Tool Factory acquiring Germany's Coburg Machine Tool Factory. The increase in cross-border merger and acquisition cases, especially successful ones, indicates that Chinese multinational companies are developing rapidly.
