What are the symptoms of epilepsy?

Patient's question:

I used to have my head hit before, and recently I had sudden twitches and lost consciousness. After about half an hour, I came to my senses on my own.

Doctor's answer:

Epilepsy is caused by many factors, which are typically divided into two major categories: 1. Idiopathic (also known as primary) epilepsy 2. Symptomatic (also known as secondary) epilepsy
Primary epilepsy refers to cases where no brain organic or metabolic diseases are present, and no cause can be identified. Both categories of epilepsy can be primary.
Secondary epilepsy is caused by various different brain organic inflammatory conditions or decomposition metabolic disorders, such as congenital brain developmental abnormalities, birth injuries, high fever, convulsions, cranial brain injuries, brain abscesses, brain tumors, encephalitis, cerebrovascular diseases, poisoning, and nutritional metabolic diseases.
Congenital developmental abnormalities include congenital hydrocephalus, incomplete development of the corpus callosum, incomplete development of the cerebral cortex, congenital cerebral palsy, chromosomal abnormalities, and others.
