Features: China's new round of tax system reform has been launched, marked by the reform of the export tax refund (and exemption) mechanism implemented since January 1, 2004. Its novelty and impact have truly attracted worldwide attention! The practice of refunding (or exempting) taxes on export goods is an internationally accepted custom in global trade, serving to avoid double taxation, promote fair competition, and benefit import and export trade. China's export tax refund (and exemption) refers to the practice in international trade where goods declared for export in China are either refunded or exempted from the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Consumption Tax paid at all production and circulation stages within China. With the advancement of economic globalization, international trade activities have become increasingly frequent, and the import and export of goods and services have become indispensable business operations for every enterprise, especially the export of goods. If a company wishes to expand its exports and reduce the export prices of its goods, it can enhance its competitiveness in the international market. While there are many methods to reduce export prices, only export tax refund (and exemption) complies with international customs. Therefore, the policies, regulations, and methods of export tax refund (and exemption) have become a must-learn subject for export enterprises. At the same time, with the development of the market economy, tax planning, as one of modern financial management tools, has been adopted by some enterprises in China and has achieved significant results. Like other economic activities, export enterprises should also engage in tax planning for their export tax refund (and exemption) business to achieve effective tax-saving goals, and familiarity with tax laws is a necessary step in this process. Due to social progress and economic development, the reform of the export tax refund (and exemption) mechanism, the issuance of new laws such as the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Administrative Licensing Ordinance," the release of 127 ineffective or abolished regulatory documents by the State Administration of Taxation in 2006, and the centralized adjustment of export tax refund rates for certain goods and the addition of prohibited items in processing trade in September of the same year have all led to significant changes in the current export tax refund (and exemption) policies. To meet the needs of a broad readership for the current effective policies, we have comprehensively reviewed the export tax refund (and exemption) regulations, removed outdated content, and systematized the effective provisions. Based on this, we have compiled the "Export Tax Refund (and Exemption) Handbook" for everyone to reference and use. The content of this book mainly includes three parts: the current effective regulations of export tax refund (and exemption), accounting treatment methods, and the current effective import and export regulations of customs. Therefore, this book is highly practical.
