Is undifferentiated connective tissue disease serious?

Patient's question:

My aunt and I have a very close relationship. Recently, it seems like she went to the hospital for a thorough check-up and found out she has a disease, but the whole family doesn't tell me what it is. Recently, I accidentally overheard their conversation, saying it might be an unseparated connective tissue disease. I want to know if unseparated connective tissue disease is serious and what is the best way to treat it?

Doctor's answer:

Undifferentiated connective tissue disease can be lupus or scleroderma, or it may also be an early manifestation of a combined connective tissue disease. This condition is not very serious. This disease is an autoimmune inflammatory disease. Symptomatic treatment is required, including anti-inflammatory and blood-activating drugs. Corticosteroids or immunosuppressants that suppress autoimmune responses may also be used. Antimalarial drugs can also be used for treatment.
