Patient's question:
What are the main types of recurrence in epilepsy? Epilepsy, I had a recurrence once this summer, and I haven't had another one yet. Recently, I often feel bloated in my stomach and also dizzy.Doctor's answer:
Epileptic recurrence can generally be divided into four types: grand mal seizures, minor recurrences, focal epilepsy, and psychomotor seizures. Although different types of epilepsy may vary, the manifestations of epileptic recurrence are largely similar. During a recurrence, a sudden cry may be made, or without crying, the person may collapse to the ground, foam at the mouth, turn pale, have clenched teeth, and experience continuous, severe convulsions of the limbs. In mild cases, the convulsions may stop within 1 to 2 minutes. After a short period of unconsciousness, the person gradually recovers completely. Some individuals may also experience incontinence of urine and feces.
