Features: This book is selected and commented on by the "Contemporary New Works Forum" of Peking University. The forum is hosted by Professor Cao Wenxuan of the Department of Chinese at Peking University and young scholar Shao Yanjun, with participants being master's and doctoral students from the Department of Modern and Contemporary Literature at Peking University. This work began in 2004 and has been ongoing for 3 years so far. This book is a collection of recommended fiction selected by the forum in 2006. It is the product of dozens of intense discussions and exchanges, and as the clamor fades in the wash of time, we hope it will provide reliable clues for contemporary literature.
