How is primary hypertension caused

Patient's question:

My training requires many banquets, so I drink beer very frequently. I was carefully diagnosed with primary hypertension. My impression of hypertension is still stuck in the kind of thing that old people suffer from. What is the problem with my primary hypertension?

Doctor's answer:

Most patients with hypertension have primary hypertension, but its cause is not yet clear. Research suggests that its onset is associated with high-salt diet, obesity, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, aging, and genetic factors. Excessive alcohol consumption is also a risk factor for hypertension, and the prevalence of hypertension in the population increases with higher alcohol intake. Although blood pressure rises in the short term after consuming even a small amount of alcohol, long-term moderate alcohol consumption slightly increases blood pressure. Excessive alcohol consumption significantly elevates blood pressure.
