Features: Artists are a peculiar group, both creating brilliance and sinking into degradation. Their various expressions and gazes are direct reflections of their encounters with the times. The tides of the era and the clarity or turbidity of politics lift them up or swallow them whole. But there is a unique posture and spirit that remains with them and connects through it all. Actors possess extraordinary skills, crowned with stars, to fulfill the meaning and mission of a life dedicated to the stage. Spring, summer, autumn, and winter, in a cycle of repetition. Just this alone is deeply moving. This book records the touching stories of eight actors: Shang Xiaoyun, Yan Huihu, Yang Baozhong, Ye Shenglan, Ye Shengchang, Xi Xiaobo, Ma Lianliang, and Cheng Yanqiu, reflecting the actors' difficult experiences during various political movements and their noble character.
