Features: Selected Exercises for Beginning Violinists is based on scientific concepts for training violin playing techniques. People often start with Wolfaardt and Kaiser before moving on to Mazas and Dont Op. 37. The content of the third "Selected" volume can be roughly divided into seven aspects: left-hand finger exercises; exercises for different positions; bowing techniques; shifting between strings; fast melodic passages; mixed bowing techniques; intonation exercises. Exercises are merely materials that can be used to train various playing techniques. For example, the first exercise can be used to train finger flexibility and left-hand intonation; it can also be played with spiccato or legato bowing to practice different bowing techniques. Similarly, the 33rd exercise can be used to train double stops or shifting between strings with spiccato bowing. Teachers are advised to select appropriate exercises based on students' needs and provide specific training requirements according to their individual situations. Students should also clearly understand the goals of their practice and the specific steps to achieve those goals. Only in this way can practicing exercises yield better results. The author has also created a video DVD for this exercise book, explaining the training objectives and steps for each exercise, along with performances. It is hoped that this work will be helpful to everyone, and readers are encouraged to provide valuable feedback. This series of teaching materials reflects the systematic experience of the author's over 50 years of violin teaching.
