Patient's question:
Doctor, I am 45 years old this year. I have always been in good health. I particularly dislike drinking beer and eating meat. I often attend banquets, and I haven't really controlled my diet. But recently, I've noticed that whenever I encounter meat dishes, I feel nauseous and want to vomit. Especially, I often feel a dull pain around the liver, which makes me very uncomfortable. I went to the hospital for a thorough check-up, and the doctor said I have fatty liver disease.Doctor's answer:
1. Mild fatty liver: Most do not have clinical diagnostic symptoms, some only feel fatigue. Most mild fatty liver patients are overweight, making it harder to notice mild subjective symptoms, and they are often discovered incidentally during health checks.2. Moderate to severe fatty liver: It has symptoms similar to chronic hepatitis, such as poor appetite, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, dull pain in the liver region or upper right abdomen, etc. It is also common to have changes like glossitis, angular cheilitis, skin ecchymosis, numbness in the limbs, and abnormal limb sensations (peripheral neuropathy). A very small number of patients may also experience gastrointestinal bleeding, gum bleeding, epistaxis, splenomegaly, and palmar erythema.
