Symptoms of mild fatty liver

Patient's question:

Hello doctor, I have always been very healthy. Recently, I had a thorough physical check-up, and the doctor said I have fatty liver and that I don't take good care of myself at all. However, I haven't experienced any discomfort symptoms again. I looked further and found information about how to treat mild fatty liver, but I still don't understand what fatty liver disease is.

Doctor's answer:

I. Loss of appetite, fatigue
This is a common symptom associated with liver diseases. If a patient experiences loss of appetite, fatigue, anorexia, abdominal pain, or dull pain in the liver area again, and excludes colds, acute gastritis, or other liver diseases, the possibility of fatty liver should be considered.
II. Nausea and vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms in clinical diagnosis. Nausea is often a precursor to dry retching but can also occur alone, primarily a special discomfort in the upper abdomen, often accompanied by dizziness, salivation, slow pulse, and reduced blood pressure. Dry retching refers to a complex reflex action where stomach contents or a small portion of small intestinal contents flow back through the esophagus into the mouth.
