What are the main manifestations of fatty liver cirrhosis?

Patient's question:

I organized a health check-up for our company last week. The detailed examination results showed that I have a bit of fatty liver. It's been known that some people in our company have fatty liver before. I heard that some people didn't get treated for fatty liver and it turned into liver cirrhosis, which eventually led to near-death. It's quite sad. I don't know what symptoms this disease has. Currently, I don't feel any discomfort.

Doctor's answer:

Clinical Manifestations of Fatty Liver
The clinical manifestations of fatty liver are diverse. Mild fatty liver often lacks diagnostic symptoms and is easily overlooked. According to records, about 25% or more of fatty liver patients may be asymptomatic in clinical diagnosis. Some may only experience fatigue, while most fatty liver patients are overweight, making it even harder to detect mild subjective symptoms. Therefore, fatty liver patients are often discovered incidentally during health check-ups.
Moderate to severe fatty liver has symptoms similar to chronic hepatitis, such as poor appetite, fatigue and weakness, nausea, dry vomiting, weight loss, and dull pain in the liver region or upper right abdomen. Mild liver swelling may be tender, with slightly firm texture, blunt edges, and a smooth surface. In very few cases, splenomegaly and palmar erythema may occur.
