Features: This book provides a detailed exposition on how to view the development and evolution of international relations before and after the end of the Cold War and its impact on the future world. The book consists of seven chapters, respectively introducing the disintegration of the Yalta System, the United States as the sole superpower, European integration and the reconstruction of the European landscape, the stable and developing Asia-Pacific region, the Middle Eastern situation after the Gulf War, the United Nations with a heavy burden, and China's diplomacy during the period of major changes in the international landscape. The development and evolution of international relations in the decades before and after the end of the Cold War have shown many new characteristics. These new characteristics indicate the emergence of a new era and further evolve in the context of the new technological revolution. Socialism, despite experiencing significant setbacks, has not collapsed but has entered a new period of strength accumulation and theoretical reflection. The competition between the two systems has replaced the fundamental confrontation between them. Peace for the world, development for nations, prosperity for economies, and progress for societies have become the common aspirations of people in all countries. This is both a sign of peace and historical progress and also indicates that international relations are becoming increasingly complex.
