Features: To strengthen the medical practitioner team of the People's Republic of China and improve the comprehensive quality of practicing physicians, our country has been implementing the "Practicing Physician Law of the People's Republic of China" and conducting the Practicing Physician Qualification Examination since 1999. This has profound significance and great practical impact on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of physicians, standardizing medical practitioner management systems, improving medical practitioner training systems, and ensuring the overall level and development momentum of China's healthcare industry. Under the support of the Ministry of Health and the National Medical Examination Center, China Union Medical University Press has published the series "National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination Preparation Guide" and "National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination Practice Questions Collection," which have been widely praised by a large number of examinees since their release. At the same time, in response to strong calls from a large number of readers via letters and phone calls, our press has timely invited experts from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine to strictly follow the examination syllabus in compiling the "National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination TCM Practitioner Practice Questions Collection" and the "National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination Assistant TCM Practitioner Practice Questions Collection."
In February 2006, the Medical Practitioner Qualification Examination Committee of the Ministry of Health released the newly revised 2006 TCM Practitioner Qualification Examination Syllabus. This revision, under the principle of highlighting TCM, clinical practice, and foundational knowledge, reasonably reduced some examination subjects. The scope of the TCM Assistant Practitioner examination includes:
(1) Basic TCM subjects: TCM Basic Theory (including content from TCM classic works), TCM Diagnostics, TCM Materia Medica, and TCM Formulas;
(2) Clinical TCM subjects: TCM Internal Medicine, TCM Surgery, TCM Gynecology, TCM Pediatrics, and Acupuncture and Moxibustion;
(3) TCM and Clinical Medical subjects: Basic Diagnostics, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Medical Ethics, and Health Regulations.
Compared to the original examination syllabus, human anatomy and physiology have been removed, while subjects such as infectious diseases and medical ethics have been included in the examination scope.
