Features: Mr. Lü Qiliang is not only an experienced art editor but also a diligent and hardworking figure painter. Mr. Lü Qiliang graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now known as the China Academy of Art) or the painting department, being a true professional. However, he has always remained humble, dedicating much of his energy to figure painting alongside his editorial work, often publishing his works in newspapers and magazines both domestically and internationally. During his time, his figure paintings were published in the form of New Year pictures, printed in large quantities, and sold nationwide, yet he never seemed to boast about it. Mr. Lü takes his figure painting very seriously and delves deeply into it. In addition to creating outstanding modern figure paintings, his ancient-style female portraits are also distinctive. He has copied many famous figure paintings, with one of his most representative works being Gu Hongzhai's "Night Banquet of Han Xizai." This long scroll faithfully reproduces the spirit of the original, fully demonstrating Mr. Lü's solid foundation in figure painting. Many authoritative figures in the field of Chinese and calligraphic arts have inscribed on his works. Xie Zhiliu praised Mr. Lü's copy as "capturing the essence of the original, worthy of being the second masterpiece of its kind." Qi Gong called it "exquisite and meticulous, with extraordinary craftsmanship," and couldn’t help but "look at it several times through a clear window in a single day." Cheng Shifan also praised it as "second only to the original."
