Child cough, is there a home remedy?

Patient's question:

My child is taken care of by my grandmother at home. Rural women are generally frugal, even wanting to save money on medical expenses for their children. My child has been coughing slightly since September, and they have had intermittent illnesses several times. The weather has started to change recently, and their cough hasn't stabilized much. I'm most afraid that it will worsen and develop into pneumonia. Is there any home remedy for children's cough? If this continues, I'm really worried about potential aftereffects!

Doctor's answer:

Hello, is it a three-year-old or severe cough with pneumonia? There is no specific remedy for this condition. It is recommended that you take your child to the hospital for intravenous drip treatment. Alternatively, you can give your child oral cephalosporin anti-inflammatory drugs and lung-cleansing, blood-cooling medications, or perform exaggerated. Pay attention to your diet, give your child more boiled water, eat more vegetables and fruits, and reduce the intake of greasy and spicy foods. Be cautious of colds, dress your child in more clothes, and avoid getting cold.
