Publishing Date: 2007-01-01
Features: This textbook selects 300 classic formulas from ancient and modern times (including 195 main formulas and 105 supplementary formulas), categorized into 18 chapters based on their therapeutic methods and effects. Each chapter begins with an overview, briefly summarizing the concepts and classifications of the formulas in that chapter. Main formulas include six sections: composition, usage, function, indications, case studies, and interpretation. Supplementary formulas include five sections: composition, usage, function, indications, and case studies. To preserve the original appearance of the ancient formulas, both the composition and usage sections of main and supplementary formulas indicate the original dosage and usage, with modern dosage and usage noted in parentheses. The modern dosage is generally calculated based on the proportion of the original formula dosage. If the original dosage does not align with modern clinical practice, the dosage is adjusted according to the commonly used dosage of traditional Chinese medicine. The modern dosage is expressed in grams. If the original dosage is specified as "equal parts," the modern dosage is typically omitted. The "indications" section primarily describes the original formula's indications and incorporates the more mature treatment experiences of ancient and modern physicians. This textbook is designed for students of five-year and seven-year programs in traditional Chinese medicine across China's institutions of traditional Chinese medicine. It can also serve as a reference for postgraduate students, young teachers, and clinical practitioners. This book is one of the case-based teaching materials for institutions of traditional Chinese medicine in China. Through case-based teaching methods, it demonstrates the diagnostic thinking process, focusing on cultivating students' traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic skills, improving their ability to observe clinical symptoms and analyze cases, and enhancing teaching efficiency. It is suitable for five-year and seven-year students in institutions of higher learning of traditional Chinese medicine across China.
