Stomach ulcer, high suspicion of stomach cancer, what to do

Patient's question:

I went to the hospital for a check-up. The test results said I have a stomach ulcer. The local peeling and pus formation in the stomach ulcer highly suspect gastric cancer. What should I do about the highly suspected gastric cancer in the local peeling and pus formation of the stomach ulcer?

Doctor's answer:

Timely treatment is crucial for gastric cancer. A combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is recommended. If surgery is possible, it is advisable to undergo surgical treatment. In the later stages, coordination with other treatments such as traditional Chinese medicine is important. Currently, the most commonly used experimental traditional Chinese medicine is ginsenoside Rh2. Using the gastric cancer cell line MFC as the experimental subject, the results showed that ginsenoside Rh2 exhibits time- and dose-dependent inhibitory effects on the growth of gastric cancer MFC cells cultured in serum-free conditions. Additionally, through meticulous morphological observation and flow cytometry testing of early apoptosis, it was demonstrated that ginsenoside Rh2 can time- and dose-dependently induce typical apoptosis in gastric cancer MFC cells.
