Features: Chongqing Tushanyao is a relatively representative folk porcelain kiln that imitates the Jian kiln system in the southwestern part of ancient China. Since its discovery in the 1930s, Chongqing cultural relics and archaeological workers have carried out extensive research on Tushanyao, uncovering several large-scale Tushanyao system kiln sites such as Huangjuye in Nan'an, Qingxi in Banan, Ciyao Li in Rongchang, Luiduizi in Hechuan, and Linshi in Fuling. Based on existing materials, this book elaborates on the distribution, firing techniques, and product structure of Tushanyao; it also provides a detailed introduction to the work conducted at selected kiln sites in the Huangjuye kiln complex of Nan'an, the Qingxi kiln complex of Banan, and the Ciyao Li kiln complex of Rongchang, focusing on their ruins and artifacts. The book also explores to some extent the background, origins, and relationships between Tushanyao and some neighboring kiln sites.
