What is constipation bleeding

Patient's question:

A 19-year-old female, frequently constipated, usually having a bowel movement every five or six days. The last time she had a bowel movement, she passed a lot of blood. Is it possible she has hemorrhoids? What causes bleeding during constipation?

Doctor's answer:

It is recommended to eat more rough fiber foods. Drink more water, massage your abdomen appropriately to enhance intestinal peristalsis. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Dry stools can easily lead to hemorrhoids corroding and bleeding. Drink more soy milk or honey water in the morning. Maintain a regular lifestyle. Eat small meals frequently, avoid overeating, and reduce the intake of spicy, fried, or grilled meats. Always stay optimistic, avoid staying up late, and ensure sufficient deep sleep. Eat more high-calorie, high-vitamin, high-protein, and easily digestible foods. Exercise moderately to lower the body's immunity while enhancing intestinal peristalsis.
