Features: The book Tangtou Gejue was compiled by the famous Qing Dynasty physician Wang Ang, selecting a total of 205 famous prescriptions, categorized and presented in poetic verse. The composition, functions, and indications of each prescription are concisely expressed in rhyming language, making it easy to read, memorize, and widely embraced by the Chinese medical community. In recent years, Yan Yun added nearly 100 commonly used prescriptions as supplementary material based on the original text, enhancing its completeness and richness. However, due to the limitations of the original style, it was difficult for readers to fully comprehend the content. Therefore, the People's Medical Publishing House published a colloquial commentary edition in the 1960s, which was highly popular and has been revised three times. To better adapt the original text to modern needs, this book has been revised for its fourth edition. The revised version is now even more perfect, providing an explanation of the source for each prescription, followed by eight sections: verse, annotations, composition, usage, functions, indications, prescription analysis, and supplementary prescriptions. The content is comprehensive, rich, and practical. The functions and indications are now more standardized and accurate. The analysis of prescription principles follows the classical theory of chief, deputy, assistant, and envoy herbs, revealing the rules of prescription composition. Appropriately added supplementary prescriptions expand the application scope of the main prescriptions, increasing the total number of prescriptions to 445. The book is well-balanced in detail, clearly organized, easy to understand, and more convenient for readers to study, master, and apply.
