Patient's question:
I don't know how to respond to the baby, who has always been like that. My baby is now the same at night and during the day, and I don't know if it's because of the brain. I'm questioning whether the baby has cerebral palsy and why they don't respond.Doctor's answer:
Cerebral palsy often occurs before birth or in infancy due to causes such as birth injuries, kernicterus, hypoxia in the baby's brain; premature birth, etc. The main symptoms are increased muscle tone, with severe cases showing muscle rigidity, scar contractures, and joints maintaining a flexed position. In mild cases, the inability to place the heel on the ground during fine motor tasks of the hands is observed. These patients often also have language development delays and articulation disorders, as well as1/3 of the patients having varying degrees of tics and intellectual impairments.
