Features: "Society·History·Documents——International Academic Conference on Traditional Chinese Studies" was a grand event organized by the Center for Traditional Chinese Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. This collection of essays serves as the second issue of the "Journal of Traditional Chinese Studies." Shortly after the conclusion of the "Society·History·Documents——International Academic Conference on Traditional Chinese Studies" (held from July 21 to July 23, 2006, at the Shanghai National College of Finance and Economics), the editorial committee immediately sent out a call to all participants to revise their papers to assist in the compilation. By early October, the revisions were gradually collected. According to the four principles of "attending the conference, submitting papers, presenting reports, and meeting standards," 32 papers were selected from the finalized essays, lightly categorized, and compiled into this collection.
