Systemic Transformation and Macro-Control - (Second Edition)

Author: Guo Shuqing
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2007-01-01
Features: This book is a monograph exploring the ethics of China's economic development and reform. In academic terms, it involves macroeconomics, development economics, and transition economics, as well as policy research. In terms of content, the book can be roughly categorized as applied macroeconomics. In terms of form, it is one of the earlier attempts to systematically study China's economy using modern economic methods. Most of the issues analyzed in this book have remained a concern for the author and have continued to be studied since 1992. To facilitate readers' comparative criticism and to address the issue of outdated material, the author has selected five articles written in the following decade as appendices, hoping they will be of some help. The former part of this book can be called empirical and normative research, or normative empirical research. Empirical and normative are two completely different methods, but they seem to be combined well here.
