Patient's question:
Recently, I have been feeling discomfort in my stomach. I went to the hospital for a follow-up visit, and the doctor prescribed Omeprazole. In the past few days, I noticed that when I have stomach pain, it also causes pain in my right waist, especially after eating egg soup. So, I had a liver, gallbladder, spleen, and kidney check-up, and found that the gallbladder wall is slightly rough. What is the difference between cholecystitis and gastritis?Doctor's answer:
Cholecystitis requires a low-fat diet, a low-cholesterol diet, and a preference for light, low-fiber, easily digestible food. It is recommended to eat small meals frequently and drink plenty of soup. Oral ursodeoxycholic acid or Xiaoyan Lidan tablets are suggested to alleviate symptoms. Severe cases may require anti-inflammatory treatment and surgical treatment. In clinical diagnosis, surgical treatment should be promptly decided upon for patients with the following conditions: (1) Patients with severe clinical symptoms, ineffective drug treatment, continuously worsening conditions, and whose symptoms are not easily relieved by non-surgical treatment. (2) Patients with gallbladder enlargement or gradual reduction, significant abdominal tenderness, severe abdominal muscle tension, or cholecystitis with gangrene and perforation, as well as those with diffuse peritonitis of the second-order neurons. (3) Patients with recurrent acute cholecystitis, confirmed diagnosis, worsened abdominal signs after treatment, and clear signs of peritoneal irritation.
