What is the color of hemolytic reaction urine

Patient's question:

I implemented the midterm exam last week, one of the questions was about what color the urine is in hemolysis, but I forgot it, so I want to think about it.

Doctor's answer:

The urine color of a normal person is translucent light yellow. The urine color of hemolysis reflects varying degrees of red, and in severe cases, it can be brownish-red. Hemolysis primarily refers to the destruction of red blood cell membranes, causing hemoglobin to leak out of red blood cells, also known as hemoglobinuria. Although the urine appears red or brown, a careful urinalysis shows a positive result for occult blood without the presence of red blood cells, which is not true hematuria.
