Features: Since the beginning of the 21st century, along with the wave of informatization worldwide, modern information technology has had a profound impact on the development of human society. Against the backdrop of implementing the strategic vision of "New Beijing, New Olympics" and building a modern international city, Beijing has placed high importance on the informatization of education. In 2004, the Beijing Education Conference proposed the implementation of the capital's education strategy, taking the lead in the country to basically achieve modernization of education, marking a new stage in the capital's education as it moved toward modernization. Guided by the construction principles of "coordinated planning and development, unified standards with phased implementation, and government-led with social participation," the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, based on practical conditions, promoted construction through application and development through demand. While continuously strengthening infrastructure, it focused on data management, resource support, distance teaching, and other aspects to implement informatization application projects for primary and secondary schools, comprehensively advancing the informatization of basic education in Beijing.
As an important part of the "Beijing Municipal Education Informatization Series Training Textbooks," this book introduces six key application projects in detail according to the relevant requirements of the "Beijing Municipal Primary and Secondary School Technical Support Personnel Competency Standards": the "Beijing Municipal Primary and Secondary School Management Information System (CMIS)," the "Beijing Municipal Education Information Comprehensive Analysis System (EBI)," the "Beijing Municipal Primary and Secondary School Student IC Card System," the "Beijing Municipal Primary and Secondary School Information Resource System," the "Beijing Municipal Primary and Secondary School Email System," and the "Virtual Learning Environment for Basic Education in Beijing." The book is divided into six chapters. We sincerely hope that regional network administrators in Beijing's districts and counties and campus network administrators in primary and secondary schools can, through the study of these six chapters, gain a comprehensive understanding of the informatization application projects for basic education in Beijing, master the operation and management knowledge of these projects, develop the ability to solve practical problems, and ensure the smooth progress of the city's education informatization application work.
The writing style and language of this book were referenced from numerous training textbooks in educational technology. At the beginning of each chapter, an introduction, content structure, and learning objectives are included, which not only help readers understand the main content of the chapter but also allow them to set their own learning pace based on the learning objectives. At the end of each section, teaching activity suggestions, learning activity suggestions, and recommended reading materials are provided, which not only offer training activities for teachers using this textbook as a reference but are also highly suitable for self-study by learners.
