Features: Numerous research works have been published on contemporary Chinese literature, culture, and art. In these works, there are various introductions and interpretations of contemporary Chinese literature, culture, and art. On one hand, they allow us to feel the significant impact of these achievements in the spiritual realm on our lifestyles and thinking habits. On the other hand, we remain bewildered, as in these fields, humanity still feels lost due to the lack of clear guidance. The newly released "New Horizons Literary Series" by Zhengzhou University Press, edited by Liu Chengji, is a theoretical series that examines the current state and development of contemporary literature, culture, and art from a fresh and unique perspective, differing from traditional methods. This series consists of three volumes: "The Chain of Life—A Perspective on the Course of New Period Literature" (authored by Tang Xuezhi), "The Dream City—A Critical Examination of Contemporary Urban Aesthetic Culture" (authored by Luo Junjun), and "The Eternal Vanguard—Reflections and Critiques on Modern Chinese Art" (authored by He Wanli). This book describes the phenomena of modern Chinese art over the past 20 years, organizes the intellectual trends, and presents images, clarifying the overall trajectory and conceptual logic of the development of modern Chinese art. It also offers deep reflections and critiques on the numerous issues that have emerged in the development of modern Chinese art.
